History<\/h1>\n

Since 1983, De Kijkuit<\/em> has been an well-known name for active outdoor fans and lovers of life.<\/p>\n

It is located near the so-called Misery Bent at Sint-Joris-ten-Distel. This had long been a unpleasant spot for captains. They found it a difficult one to tackle. But after the canal had been redesigned, the dead end canal arm proved to be the ideal location for water sports. Later still, De Kijkuit started organizing other activities here, such as archery, mountain biking and more.<\/p>\n

The restaurant is also an hot spot. In the 18th<\/sup> century, the kyckuyt <\/i>inn was known in and around Beernem. Today, it serves tasty ribs and offers pleasant kayak trips, but there are so many more reasons to visit this unique place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
